David Boudia is the 2012 Olympic diving gold medalist in the 10m platform, and Olympic bronze medalist in the 10m synchronized platform at the London Olympic Games. His individual gold is the first for the US Men’s Team in the 10m platform since Greg Louganis won in 1988.
David’s journey to London wasn’t easy. After a disappointing 2008 Olympics, David searched for guidance through his faith. As a devout Christian, David knows God provided the path that ultimately led to his success in London.
Not surprisingly, David's goals are bigger than his individual success; and he has high aspirations that his global achievement will lead to a reemergence of the sports of diving in the US.
David’s leads by example and his passions extend beyond the pool. He is a mentor and role model to his teammates, peers and today’s youth. He understands the value of a strong support system. This past year, David become a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
David is going back to Purdue University to complete his degree and will continue to leverage his fame to bring positive change to others. Coveted by corporate America as a spokesperson and motivational speaker, David is excited about the opportunity to share his message, his faith, and to give back to those in need of a positive role model.
